Since 2026, I have been serving as the General Coordinator of the Spina Bifida and Fetal Surgery Program at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital. This role brings together my full career experience in international patient coordination, interdisciplinary team management, and cross-border referral processes — in service of one of the most impactful surgical specialties in modern medicine.
Research & Key Activities:
- Coordinating workflow and communication across neurosurgery, perinatology, pediatric surgery, and rehabilitation teams
- Managing international patient intake from first inquiry through discharge and post-operative follow-up
- Maintaining referral relationships with physicians and institutions across multiple countries
- Providing direct English-language support and compassionate communication for international families
Problem Statement:
- Fetal surgery patients and families face extreme emotional and logistical challenges — requiring a coordinator who can manage both the clinical process and the human experience simultaneously
