Coordinating ministry-sponsored patient services between Turkey and Iraq across Baghdad and Erbil
Iraq Ministry of Health — Dual-Office Ministry Coordination
Simultaneously with the Libya partnership, I managed the institutional relationship with the Iraqi Ministry of Health over four years — maintaining active coordination with both the Baghdad central ministry and the Erbil regional health authority. This dual-office management required exceptional organizational discipline and deep cross-cultural communication.
Research & Key Activities:
- Maintained separate workflows and documentation for Baghdad and Erbil ministry offices
- Coordinated patient referrals across a broad range of medical specialties
- Conducted direct visits to Iraq for ministry meetings and partnership renewals
- Ensured full compliance with Iraqi ministry requirements and Turkish healthcare regulations
Problem Statement:
- Managing two geographically and administratively separate ministry offices simultaneously required meticulous process management and constant relationship maintenance
- Political and logistical challenges in the region demanded flexible, solution-oriented coordination
Final Outcome & Impact:
- Maintained 4-year uninterrupted partnership with consistent patient referral volume
- Built trusted personal relationships with key decision-makers in both Baghdad and Erbil offices
